Development of a food and cultural corridor BY and FOR the Côte-des-Neiges community
Collective gardens on
public, private and institutional plots
History
Born in 2022 from a partnership between MultiCaf and the Darlington Ecological Corridor, the INARI project wishes to promote better accessibility to fresh and local food, revalorize the agricultural past of Côte-des-Neiges, cultivate agricultural knowledge and improve the living environment of residents.
Since then, the INARI network has developed on a territorial scale thanks to the involvement of new partner organizations, and new production sites accessible to the Côte-des-Neiges community.
Why INARI ?
INARI is the name of a Japanese deity who represents agriculture and fertility. Often depicted in the form of a white fox, INARI travels through agricultural areas to promote the growth and productivity of crops. This logo perfectly embodies the values of our project !
